Tree House Brewing Company is looking for a Kitchen Manager who will oversee our widely acclaimed pizza program for our Saratoga Springs, NY location. The goal is to create the best pizza in the world, to drink with the best beverages, and to serve them in the most friendly and memorable environment. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the pizza kitchen, the pizza kitchen team and ensuring our high standards of quality are upheld for each and every guest who visits our Saratoga location. Schedule/Availability: This is a full-time, exempt role required to work a Wednesday - Sunday schedule. It may require travel to our other locations on occasion and with notice. Nights, weekends, holidays and any days with operational significance (events, concerts, etc.) are expected to be worked by the Kitchen Manager.
Below are a few of what we refer to as active management responsibilities we expect of our managers:
- Ensures efficient kitchen operation of scratch-made pizza.
- Sets a standard for all kitchen team members while leading and directing the team to provide consistent service.
- Sources local vendors, while consistently and professionally building relationships and negotiating food contracts.
- Takes full ownership for the entire culinary process, including ordering experience on-site, guest satisfaction, and all steps in between.
- Creates schedules for all kitchen team members that meet the needs of the kitchen based on volume of orders.
- Assisting in hiring, onboarding, training & development of staff
- Promoting the constant evolution of professional development of direct reports, coordinating with the HR team to schedule periodic training as needed
- Establishes staffing pars based on specific location volume, continually evaluating culinary team members individual performance and impact to the operation, including corrective actions, and terminations
- Collaborates on projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support Tree Houses strategic plan with regards to our food service program.
- Actively promotes ideas for kitchen operations improvement.
- Conducts regular audits to ensure the highest level of standards and compliance (e.g.quality, presentation, food storage, sanitation)
- Identifies, hires, and develops unit-level kitchen team members to ensure product excellence and labor efficiency through daily shift execution.
- Works with the Saratoga Springs Hospitality and Assistant Hospitality Managers to ensure smooth service among both food and beverage operations

Role Requirements:
- 5-7 years of Food Service experience in a fast paced retail environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of kitchen management experience required.
- Hands-on experience preparing scratch-made pizza.
- Proven ability to lead a kitchen team successfully through varying work volumes.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Capable of resolving issues arising from operations and with staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with other employees, leadership, guests, and vendors.
- Training in food service sanitation and possession of ServSafe food handlers certification required.
- Culinary degree or related discipline preferred but relevant experience and technical abilities will be considered.
The starting base salary range for this position is $65,000-66,500 annually. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Base salary is only one component of the total compensation package, as this role is eligible for participation in the company growth bonus program and a robust benefit package.
