Part Time Art Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a background in art education and a commitment to fostering a love for the arts among students.

This role involves developing engaging art curricula, teaching various artistic techniques, and encouraging students to express themselves creatively.

This position is at a faith-based homeschool hybrid program, which is conducted in a local church. As such, all applicants must teach according the programs faith based mission statement

This position offers 5 paid hours per week. 2 hours are for lesson planning and 3 hours of in-person classroom teaching at our location in Grove City.

Every week you would teach a class to the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2/3 Grade split class, 4/5 grade split class for 35 minutes each.

Weekly hours:

Monday 12:30pm-2:00pm

Tuesday 12:30pm-2:00pm

Planning hours are completed at your home.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans for weekly class instruction.
• Possess strong classroom management skills
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred, but not required
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential
• Knowledge of curriculum development and standardized testing practices is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an appreciation for the arts among students of all backgrounds.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
