Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Bucket Truck Operator and Tree Climber to join our tree removal team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a bucket truck to access and remove trees, as well as climbing trees to assist in pruning, trimming, and removal operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, physically demanding environment.
Duties
- Operate bucket truck to safely access tree tops and assist in tree removal.
- Climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other climbing equipment for pruning or removal tasks.
- Cut and remove trees, limbs, and debris following safety procedures and company protocols.
- Safely lower large branches using ropes, and assist with proper rigging techniques.
- Maintain and inspect equipment, including the bucket truck, climbing gear, and chainsaws.
- Collaborate with ground crew to ensure efficient tree removal and cleanup.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to minimize risk to yourself, coworkers, and clients.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bucket truck operator and/or tree climber.
- Strong knowledge of tree removal techniques, including rigging and cutting.
- Ability to operate and maintain a bucket truck and related equipment safely.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in heights and challenging outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and ability to operate large vehicles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
