Certified Yoga Instructor

Responsibilities:
- Conduct yoga classes for individuals or groups, focusing on proper form and technique with an emphasis on creating not just a class but a community
- Provide guidance and support to clients during yoga sessions, offering modifications and adjustments as needed to create a welcoming studio for all levels and body types
- Educate students on the benefits of yoga and promote a healthy lifestyle
- Maintain a clean and safe yoga studio environment
- Welcome students, keep accurate records of client attendance and progress, make sure facility is unlocked and locked at the appropriate times, and answer student questions after class

Experience:
- Certification in yoga instruction from a recognized organization,

-Previous teaching experience
- Knowledge of various yoga styles and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on kindness and joy
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their wellness goals

Tree Yoga is a one-year old studio in West Roxbury that is focused on serving the community in a positive and supportive manner. We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Pay is $50 per hour for up to ten students. Larger enrollments will have a pay bonus for the instructor. Tree Yoga instructors should have a focus on building community, helping students improve their physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga, and teachers should contribute to regular class enrollments of ten or more students by developing a student following.

Currently, we are hiring for both our regular class schedule for the following two classes:

Sundays at 8:00 a.m. (Power Flow)

Fridays at 9:15 a.m. (Yoga Sculpt)

At this time, we are not hiring for any yin classes. If you are a new instructor with limited teaching experience, we do plan to offer a Sunday Community Class, in which instructors are paid $5 for each student who is in attendance. In the future, we anticipate hiring for a Monday morning class at 7 or 7:30 a.m.; a Friday morning class at 7 or 7:30 a.m.; a noon class on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and a 7:15 or 7:30 p.m. class on Thursdays. Teachers on our substitution list are given first priority when new classes are added to the schedule.
