Summary

A Pre-K daycare teacher is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children, typically ages 3-5. Their duties include planning and implementing educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. They also monitor children's progress, communicate with parents, and ensure the classroom is clean and well-organized. Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education are key qualities for this role

Duties

1. Planning Lessons : Creating engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that support early learning and development.

2. Teaching : Leading activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive skills like storytelling, arts and crafts, and basic math and literacy.

3. Monitoring Progress : Observing and assessing each child's development and keeping records of their progress.

4. Classroom Management : Maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.

5. Communication : Keeping in touch with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.

6. Supervision : Ensuring the safety of children at all times, both inside and outside the classroom.

7. Encouraging Social Skills : Helping children develop social skills like sharing, cooperation, and following rules

Requirements

1. Certification : Depending on the state or country, you may need specific certifications like a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

2. Experience : Prior experience working with young children, either through internships, volunteering, or previous teaching positions.

3. Skills : Strong communication, patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.

4. Background Check : A clean background check is usually required to ensure the safety of the children.

5. First Aid / CPR Certification : Many positions require certification in first aid and CPR
