Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the hospital's calendar effectively.
  • Handle incoming calls, providing information about services and answering client inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Process payments and manage medical collections efficiently.
  • Assist veterinarians with basic administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
  • Educate clients on proper pet care, including grooming and handling techniques.
  • Stay informed about veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and husbandry practices to assist clients effectively.

Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and animal handling skills is a plus.
  • Experience with laboratory procedures related to animal health is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage records accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
