What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sleep Technician position at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital?
Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Respiratory Care department is looking for a PRN Sleep Tech.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct overnight sleep studies and monitor patients during procedures.
- Calibrate sleep study equipment.
- Collect and analyze data to ensure accurate results.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of sleep studies and patient interactions.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment in the sleep lab.
- Stay current with best practices in sleep medicine and technology.
- QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or certification in Polysomnography, CRT, RRT, or has completed the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program
- Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a sleep lab or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of sleep disorders and sleep study procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
