GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
As an Aircraft Load Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient loading of cargo on various aircraft. You will be responsible for calculating weight and balance distributions, developing load plans, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the overall operational efficiency of the aircraft and the safety of its flights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement load plans for aircraft, ensuring optimal weight distribution and balance.
- Analyze cargo information to determine the best loading strategies.
- Collaborate with ground operations, flight crews, and other departments to communicate load plans and coordinate activities.
- Perform weight and balance calculations to comply with regulatory and air carrier standards.
- Monitor cargo handling and loading operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of cargo loads in compliance with air carrier policies and regulations.
- Utilize aircraft load planning software and tools to generate loading diagrams and reports.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to aircraft loading and weight management.
- Provide support and training to ground staff and new employees on load planning procedures.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in aircraft load planning, cargo operations, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using load planning software and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations, weight and balance principles, and safety standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The position may require working in both office and field environments, including on the tarmac during loading and unloading activities.
- Shift work, including overnights, weekends, and holidays based on operational need depending on flight schedules.
