Maintenance Shop Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Piston Shop Manager to oversee our operations and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities that include maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, guide A&P’s; direct the Piston Shop's day work activity
- Schedule work in the shop and manage technician assignments
- Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, maintenance status, sqk approval, & invoicing
- Review and approve completed work orders
- Aid in troubleshooting, answering questions, and finding solutions to keep maintenance projects and technicians on task
- Manage projects to ensure schedule attainment and budget is made
- Manage team members accordingly to stay on task and accomplish tasks in the most efficient manner
- Break down barriers causing schedule delays
- Communicate to employees the goals and expectations of the company and their corresponding projects.
- Handle conflict amongst employees and drive accountability to company metrics.
- Ensure compliance with relevant FAA regulations.
- Communicate cross-functionally with shipping and A&Ps, as well as receiving, parts, HR, and other company leadership, as required.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Possible on-call for AOG after hours.
Experience:
- Aircraft maintenance: 3 years (Required)
- Management: 3 years (Required)
- Piston Aircraft Maintenance: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Airframe & Powerplant License (Required)
- IA (Inspection Authorization) (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- North Platte, NE 69101: Relocate before starting work (Required)
