Responsible for the manufacturing, finishing and inspection of aerospace products in accordance with written work specifications
Major Responsibilities:
- Hot vulcanize splicing of molded profiles to end plugs and boots.
- Molding small and large parts by manually cutting and / or shaping rubber and placing in molds.
- Mold parts by loading (and un-loading) extruded material into large molds.
- Properly reading and completing required paperwork on job packages and paperless scheduling system
- Conduct in-process inspection of products as specified.
- Conduct 100% final inspection on products for shipment.
- Deflashing, buffing and cleaning seals in preparation for shipment.
- Marking and stamping products.
- Scanning of parts using optical scanning equipment.
- Packaging, sealing and labeling boxes ready for shipment.
- Operating machinery including small vulcanizing presses, insertion equipment and material transfer equipment.
- Repairing products as required.
- Inventory control, cycle counting, receiving and shipping as needed.
- Work with other team members and management to accomplish corporate goals of: on time delivery, turnaround time, profitability, and returns.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills
- Capability to read and understand drawings, specifications and other engineering and administrative documents.
- Read, understand and follow written instructions.
- Ability to operate and read measuring tools and to perform some complex mathematical calculations that may include decimals and / or fractions.
- Must be able to lift, hold, and / or manipulate product and tools.
Salary Info:
This is a first shift position with a starting rate commensurate with experience, the minimum staring wage is $18.00 per hour
