Manufacturing Engineer
This role provides engineering support to manufacturing, with knowledge of various department operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflows to assist in the manufacture of PTFE and plastics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through improved process and resource utilization.
- Analyze existing production processes for improvement opportunities.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with process changes ensuring that improvements do not compromise the quality or functionality of the product or create safety or compliance problems.
- Develop and provide operator training as required for new processes.
- Reverse engineering of products and generate manufacturing drawings.
- Work with incoming transfer jobs from other Trelleborg facilities and/or new projects.
- Work with external design engineering teams to obtain manufacturing drawings for production.
- Evaluate material test data and reports to ensure data is available for internal and external customers.

Required Education and Experience:
- A four-year engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or similar fields.
- Five plus years of manufacturing experience in lieu of an engineering degree.
- Neatness, dependability, and accuracy are must-haves.
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions and procedures.
- Proficient in M.S. Office.
- Knowledge of PTFE and/or plastic materials; sealing system experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in 5S and Lean manufacturing; Six Sigma green or black belt experience is a plus.
- Experience with GibbsCam and Solid Works or equivalent, personal computers, various gauging tools, and hand tools.
- Experience with Programmable CMM (Keyence and Hexagon).
- Knowledge of CNC programming and PLC programming Material test lab equipment is a plus.
- Experience with JobBoss2 ERP or equivalent is a plus.
