What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Analyst position at Trelleborg Group?
The Inventory Analyst works closely with the Trelleborg Marketing organization to determine and maintain the optimal inventory level in order to achieve a healthy on time delivery while satisfying the cash flow and working capital targets of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. They also closely work with other internal departments with in the supply chain organization, like Data Management, MPS and Supply Planning, and Purchasing to achieve on time delivery goals. They will proactively gather data and conduct analysis with the goal of improving the organization's responsiveness to repeating as well as changing customer demands.Tasks and Responsibilities : Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demands and optimal service level while minimizing excess or obsolete inventoryAnalyze market and company trends and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand accuratelyManage the customer forecast cycle, including accuracy and consistency checks together with our sales organizationTrack and analyze data related to supply chain performance, key performance indicator (KPIs), and other relevant metrics to make data-driven decisions and optimize processesDefine report specifications for internal KPIs, test and implement within our BI system to drive process improvementsUtilize supply chain management software and technology to track, manage and improve inventory health with relevant stakeholders in sales and MPS Planning.Actively contribute to various improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement, recommending process improvements, and implementing best practices within the supply chainOwn and manage the Material Classification ProcessBackup for S&OP Planner in case of illness and vacation.Other duties and project work may be assigned as required.Education and Experience : Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or 5 years of planning experienceExperience in item planning / inventory controlKnowledge of MS office and ideally database and business intelligence experience like CognosExperience with JD Edwards / Oracle software / systems Equal Opportunity Employer / Protected Veterans / Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
