Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provides proactive and timely work direction, feedback, coaching, and training to members of the Maintenance & Facilities team.
- Provides departmental succession planning through cross-training and mentoring.
- Operates autonomously, engaging in problem solving and providing proactive solutions in their day-to-day operations
- Repairs and performs preventive maintenance duties on buildings, grounds and equipment as required.
- Facilitates construction projects as assigned.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with all department employees and supervisors.
- Assists in the disassembly and diagnoses of mechanical and electrical failures.
- Assists outside contracted maintenance as needed (janitorial, building and grounds maintenance).
- Resolves safety concerns as directed by safety team or management.
- Strictly adheres to all safety protocol.
- Assists in installation of new equipment as required.
- Initiates part requisitions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Operates autonomously and provides mentorship for non-senior level facilities technicians
- Engages in problem solving and provides proactive solutions in their day-to-day operations
