Tasks and Responsibilities

- Prepare and support Rubber, Plastic and Metal component designs for internal and external manufacturing resources as a result of a Customer Request.
- Be participant in the creation of
- a detailed manufacturing drawing complete with dimensions and tolerances
- support design concepts by performing Finite Element Analysis
- ensure that the product functions in the application as specified
- ensure that the product can be manufactured in a cost effective and reliable manner.
- Participate in key customer visits with sales engineers and account managers.
- Collaborate with suppliers/purchasing for materials, components and manufactured product.
- Collaborate with suppliers on tool design and tool manufacture sources, capability and cost
- Responsible for identifying training opportunities from internal and external sources for self development
- Support Quality System accreditation
- BSMET/BSME degree or equivalent essential.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD Package essential.
- Proficiency with oral/written communication skills crucial in the English language
- Project management skills essential
- Seal design experience highly desirable
- Elastomer/plastic processing and tooling experience highly desirable
- Experience in the science of hydraulics and Fluid Dynamics highly desirable
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and lead projects with attention to detail and accuracy while meeting targeted completion dates
- Strong customer focus and understanding of total customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent people and relationship building skills
