Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for managing and completing assigned projects on time and within budget.
- Identify and manage risks associated with projects.
- Provide technical support to estimating/sales for quoting new programs.
- Participate in on/off site technical discussions/DFM reviews with customers.
- Participate in tooling design review activities.
- Work with internal supply chain resources to identify capable vendors for raw materials and services.
- Develop and manage project timelines.
- Facilitate/lead regular project updates/conference calls with customers.
- Manage internal cross-functional resources to ensure completion of assigned deliverables.
- Manage open sales order activity/dates for assigned NPD deliverables.
- Review NPD outputs for profitability trends.
- Participate in cross-functional development and review/approval of manufacturing and quality documentation.
- Contribute to data analysis and collaboration with Quality Engineering.
- Provide engineering consulting on existing production programs as needed.
- Create, track, and report critical department KPIs.
- Initiate, lead, and participate in continuous improvement activities to support critical KPI goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 10 years of equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience working in a polymer processing or medical manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role.
- Desired: Post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or certificate training in polymer-related or project management discipline.
- Sr NPD Project Mgr requirements:
- 8 years of experience working in a polymer processing or manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role.
- 5 years (external hire) or 1 year (internal hire) performing essential job functions.
- Desired: 10 years of experience working in a polymer processing or medical manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role, including at least 5 years (external hire) or 1 year (internal hire) performing essential job functions.
