What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician Equipment 4410 position at Trelleborg?
The St-Up Technician position plays an important role in ensuring the production standards for our products are met and participates in the set-up and production of plastic molded products. This position will work closely with operators, shift supervisors, and engineers to assure all suspect material is identified, procedures are carried through, and training/education is conducted to ensure future success and high-quality standards are met.
The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 3PM-11:15PM. Some overtime may be required based on business need.
Responsibilities:
Sets up molds and auxiliary equipment assuring entire work cell is production ready. Starts presses – following existing manufacturing criteria and assuring productivity rates and quality standards are beyond customer requirements. This may include troubleshooting of cycle an press – answering alarms and mold cleanings.
Initiates and participates in continuous improvement efforts
Maintains a clean work environment including line clearance, press cleanliness, part containment and 5S tasks.
Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.

Previous production and set experience is necessary.
Physical capabilities involved with performing all job- related tasks.
- Must be able to lift/carry 55 lbs.
- A self-motivated, willing team player to assist in all functions to assure equipment controls and proper set-up
- Ability to understand and then react to changes per SPC data, press and equipment controls and proper setup.
- Willingness to initiate and participate in continuous improvement efforts which affects the entire organization.
- Desire to increase personal skills enhancing contributions and compensation.
