Position Summary:
Associate Bakers at Trellis Coffee Bar are responsible for prep shifts as well as morning baking shifts. General responsibilities include preparing, cooking, and assembling menu items with excellence, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. We seek a detail-oriented individual with bakery experience, flexible availability, and a passion for teamwork and continuous improvement.
Position: Associate Baker
Reports to: Back of House Manager/Lead
Job Type: Part Time, 15-25 hours per week
Required Availability:
- Early morning bake shifts evening prep shifts
- Must be available on Saturdays and Sundays
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, Cook, and Assemble: Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items to specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness at stations and workspaces, and keep food items and refrigerators organized.
- Safe Food Handling: Adhere to safe food handling practices at all times.
- Product Quality: Execute all product offerings to our standard of quality.
- Proactivity: Be proactive in problem-solving.
- Speed and Efficiency: Develop speed and efficiency while primarily maintaining quality.
- Team Player: Be an active team player who respects others, accepts feedback from peers and leadership, and continually looks for ways to grow and improve in the role.
- Ongoing Development: Be open to bi-monthly evaluations, come to meetings ready to receive feedback on performance improvement opportunities, and offer feedback on workplace improvements.
The Ideal Candidate Would Have:
- 2 years of experience in a bakery or running a home bakery.
- A flexible schedule, with the ability to work weekends and some evenings.
- Attention to detail and comfort with making large batches.
- Reliable organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: Up to $12.00 per hour
