What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Trellis Paradise?
Assist the Administrator in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.

Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions.
Promotes census building, participates in admission decisions, and consults with the Administrator or Director of Nursing before rejecting an admission.
Participates in community affairs and civic organizations.
Addresses resident complaints daily to assure prompt follow-up by appropriate staff.
Promotes the Employee Benefits Program and encourages staff participation.
Follows employment policies and procedures for hiring, interviewing, discipline, terminations, etc.
Works with department heads to promote cooperation, leadership, communication, and budgetary skills.
Participates in the oversight of departmental compliance with budgetary parameters.
Assists in capital improvements.
Understands staffing level requirements and adheres to industry and company standards.
In the absence of the Administrator, serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility.
May Assist the Administrator with staff education in regulatory compliance, inspection surveys, and operational policies.
May participate in survey responses according to oversight duties delegated.
Develops relationships with the support team (HR / Therapy / Clinical / Finance) to assist with meeting / exceeding goals.
Develop work assignments and schedule duty hours, and / or assist nursing supervisory staff in completing and performing such tasks.
Develop and maintain a good rapport with all services involved with the care plan to ensure that a team effort is achieved in developing the resident's comprehensive care plan.
Participate in the preparation and planning of the budget and submit to the Administrator for his / her review, recommendations, and / or approval.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
