Part Time After School Autism Instructor--Towson

Trellis Services is currently hiring Instructors to work in our After School Program in Towson.

In this role, you will work in a 11 or 31 ratio with children between the ages of 8-21 diagnosed with autism. You will assist the child with arts/crafts, play games/puzzles and go on community outings. The Program is open Monday through Friday 245pm-700pm with an early start on Wednesday 1245pm-700pm. The Program is located in Towson--right off 695. This position is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! • MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 100 HOURS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS WITH DELAYS AND BE DEPENDABLE

As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Requirements

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• The ability to pass a background check.
• Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays

Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
