Boston Steel Division of Tremcar Inc., a leader in the tank manufacturing industry for over 100 years, is seeking a Production Operations Manager for its Haverhill Massachusetts plant. Reporting to senior management, the selected person's primary role will be to ensure the smooth running of production operations (strategy, planning, execution, optimization, profitability, etc.). They will supervise the various non-union teams in order to achieve quality, productivity and service objectives. They will ensure good labor relations and health and safety. Your mission: Ensure the proper management and optimization of the systems and operations of the production team, service department and parts sales, in order to build various innovative projects and develop internal talent.
Your hybrid role allows you to work as a team with all departments and directly with the President of the company and the various departments of the head office located in Quebec, Canada.

Production Planning and Management
· Strategically lead and optimize all operational production activities, including workforce and subcontractor management in collaboration with Directors and Production Supervisors
· Ensure compliance with production deadlines and anticipate needs to achieve the set objectives
· Participate in problem solving and support the team at the technical, tactical or operational level as needed
· Write reports on production performance, improvement projects and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Communicate with senior management and other managers of various departments to align operational objectives.
· Participate in management meetings to share progress, challenges and opportunities.
· Supervise, support and mobilize the supervision team to achieve production objectives and maintain healthy working relationships.
· Collaborate in a pleasant work environment conducive to employee growth.
· Support in the recruiting and the development of staff skills, in collaboration with Human Resources.
· Collaborate with the different departments to ensure good coordination.
· Suggest, implement and ensure the maintenance of production methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to improve processes and reduce costs.
· Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate processes.
· Analyze performance and propose solutions to reduce waste, downtime, etc.
· Participate in plant and workstation development projects.
· Support the various teams in identifying potential improvements.
· Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards for the entire plant.
· Collaborate with the quality control and engineering teams to identify and resolve compliance issues.
· Enforce company procedures and manufacturing standards.
· Establish and manage the production operations budgets.
· Optimize the use of resources (human, material and financial) to maximize efficiency.
· Monitor expenses and ensure that operations respect budgetary constraints.
· Ensure compliance and respect for occupational health and safety rules and policies to guarantee a healthy and safe environment.
· Participate in the development and application of risk management to minimize incidents in the factory.
· Be a stakeholder in the implementation of improvement measures in terms of occupational safety.
Your expertise
· Training in operations management or equivalent.
· Minimum 7 years of experience in production management and optimization in the manufacturing and customer service environment.
· Relevant experience in factory improvement.
· Relevant experience in the field of tanks, trailers, trucks or automobiles is a great asset.
· Knowledge of modern production methods (Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
· Knowledge of cost management and operational budgets.
· Mastery of OSHA procedures.
· Computer skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

Working conditions
· Permanent position, full time
· Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
