Job Summary
As our Filler/Helper, you'll be responsible for operating, setting up, changing over, assisting, or tending to machines in order to package paint in a safe, consistent, and efficient manner. You will observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. Daily tasks include adjusting machine components, tending to packaging machines, removing finished packaged items, regulating machine flow, and reporting malfunctions to a supervisor. Additionally, you will secure finished packaged items by hand tying or attaching fasteners, stock and sort product, inspect and remove defective products, and clean and remove damaged materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery to package paint safely and efficiently.
- Monitor machine operations to maintain quality standards.
- Adjust machine components to optimize performance.
- Remove finished packaged items and separate rejected items.
- Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature as needed.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur and report issues to supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year(s) industry-related work experience preferred but not necessary.
- Able to accurately read and enter computer data.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to consistently lift 75 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to quality programs.
- Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience.
- Experience with continuous process disciplines like Six Sigma, Lean, or TQM manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience with safety programs.
