Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for all visitors and staff. The Day Porter will be responsible for performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the day, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain designated areas, including restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.
- Perform floor care duties such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
- Carry out commercial cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
- Assist in custodial duties for special events or high-traffic areas as required.
- Support industrial cleaning efforts by maintaining equipment and supplies in good working order.
- Collaborate with the facilities maintenance team to address any repairs or upkeep needed within the premises.
- Maintain a professional appearance while interacting with staff and visitors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is a plus.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties throughout the day, including lifting and moving items as necessary.
