Summary
Sets up and operate CNC press brake machinery to bend, shape, and form metal plate into precise components according to technical drawings and specifications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to maintain quality and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Machine Operation:
o Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to perform precision bending of metal plate.
o Select and install appropriate tooling for specific jobs, including punches and dies.
o Using machine CNC controls, adjust machine settings to ensure bends are accurate to the specified dimensions.
Blueprint Interpretation:
o Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine the proper sequence of operations and material requirements.
o Verify dimensions and tolerances before starting production.
Quality Assurance:
o Perform regular inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
o Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors to verify accuracy.
Material Handling:
o Load and unload sheet metal materials onto the press brake machine.
o Safely handle and store raw materials and finished parts.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
o Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the press brake machine.
o Verify the accuracy of machine components and calibrate/adjust as needed.
o Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications Experience with CNC press brake operation and programming. Familiarity with various plate metal materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. experience level can progress pay level at start of position, determined by Plant Manager
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: desired but not required (will train) Proficient in excel, word and PLEX.
