What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language-Pathologist position at Trenton R-IX School District?
Qualifications: Valid License issued by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts for Speech-Language Pathologist
Reports to: Director of Special Services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance, contributing to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings.
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development and training.
- Support and educate students, families, and staff on speech and language development and strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and review student progress and needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment: Contract to be established by the Board – Generally 175 days.
Evaluation: Annually by the Director of Special Services in accordance with policy.
A criminal fingerprint/background clearance is required.
