JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Head Football Coach & Teacher

Trenton Rosenwald Middle School for 2025-2026 School Year

Term of Employment: Two Hundred (200) Days Contract

Immediate Supervisor: Building Level Principal

Qualifications: Grades 5-8 Tennessee Licensure in Science, Math, English, or Social Studies

Evaluation: Conducted by the building level administrators and Central Office supervisory staff.

• Have the ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without the loss of efficiency or composure.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

• Planning and implementing the daily program for the football program
• Planning and preparing the daily program using current state standards
• Planning and preparing the learning environment, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
• Supervise the classroom
• Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the District at all times
• Treat all students with dignity and respect
• Supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of students. Maintain a neat and organized classroom.
• Supervise activities to ensure safety at all times.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to:

• In case of an emergency, must be able to lift or assist in lifting a student in need
• Work outdoors in any variety of weather
• Repetitive bending, stretching, and stooping
• Climb up and down stairs
• Have mobility required to ensure the safety of students
• Have visual and hearing capabilities that allow consistent supervision of students
• Assist in bus loading and unloading
• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs, such as non-English-speaking students or those with physical and mental disabilities
