The Field Operations Intern will assist the Thunder Field Operations team with maintaining and preparing the field for all baseball games and events. This hands-on role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in sports turf management within a professional baseball environment. Ideal for current students or recent graduates interested in turf management, agronomy, or sports operations.

The Field Operations Intern will assist the Thunder Field Operations team with maintaining and preparing the field for all baseball games and events. Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily field maintenance including mound and plate repair, clay work, infield skin, and warning track upkeep
- Operate field maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Participate in pre-game and post-game setup including batting practice, field markings, base placement, and tarp deployment
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of dugouts, bullpens, and other field-adjacent areas
- Help prepare the field for non-baseball stadium events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Operations team
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated with a desire to pursue a career in sports turf management or field operations
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a two- or four-year program in turf management, sports management, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous field maintenance or baseball experience preferred but not required
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
