Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
- Perform routine animal care tasks such as feeding, bathing, and exercising animals.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal health by observing behavior and vital signs, reporting any changes to the veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each animal.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia administration and aseptic technique.
- Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations.
- Provide, communicate and educate pet owners on laboratory results, proper pet care, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment, including kennels and examination rooms.
Requirements
- Proven experience in animal care/clinic setting. A Licensed Veterinary Technician is preferred, but experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and animal catheterization is a plus.
- Strong anesthesia and surgical prep/monitoring skills is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $19.75 - $21.00 per hour
