What are the responsibilities and job description for the SMALL ENGINE REPAIR TECHNICIAN position at TREO STAFFING LLC?
The job of Small Engine Repair Technician is done for the purpose / s of maintaining a wide variety of groundsequipment and other equipment powered by small gasoline, diesel engines; identifying repair and / orreplacement needs; providing necessary information on the proper uses of the equipment; and assisting otherskilled trades as required.
- Cleans, sharpens and lubricates a variety of motorized equipment (e.g. reel mowers, blades, hedgetrimmer, edgers, trimmers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring units are operating safely and correctly.
- Diagnoses and repairs problems and / or failures in a wide variety of equipment (e.g. mowers, edgers,pumps, compressors, hydraulic rams, sprayers, generators, switches, lights, etc.) for the purpose ofidentifying equipment and / or systems repair and replacement needs.
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning ofrequired tools and equipment.
- Maintains tools and / or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safeoperating condition.
- Informs personnel regarding procedures and / or status of work orders for the purpose of providinginformation for making decisions, taking appropriate action and / or complying with health and safetyregulations.
- Assists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion oftheir work activities.
- Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects / work ordersefficiently.
- Prepares documentation (e.g. time and materials, job specifications, estimates materials, etc.) for thepurpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and / or conveying information.
- Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability ofrequired items to complete the necessary installation / repair.
- Transports various items as needed and / or assigned (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose ofensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
