- Wash dishes, glassware, and kitchen utensils using both dishwashers and manual methods.
- Keep the kitchen and work areas clean and organized.
- Store clean dishes and cooking equipment properly.
- Assist in food preparation, including cutting and cleaning various food items.
- Help receive and store food deliveries, adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining and service areas.
- Engage with guests, providing a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines as prescribed by regulatory bodies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety/sanitation regulations.
- Knowledge of various types of food, with the ability to accurately identify items while receiving orders.
- Proficient knife skills, as the position involves food preparation.
- Must possess a valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and moving kitchen equipment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to safely navigate the kitchen and café areas, which may involve bending, kneeling, or climbing as needed.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen setting.
- Exposure to kitchen equipment, heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
