- Responsible for preparing ingredients for food production according to recipes/directions for service
- Follows production sheets, portioning and merchandising details as instructed by the Sous Chef/Junior Sous Chef
- Tastes all food prepared for station to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality
- Follows all recipes and guidelines while meeting production deadlines
- Prepares and cleans a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using knives and/or cutting machines
- Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health, and Risk Management
- Ensures consistent quality on all prepared items
- Maintains a clean and organized station and prep area
- Maintains kitchen equipment and checks daily for any ongoing issues, including equipment, cleanliness, etc., and reports to Cafe/Concept Chef
- Follows proper rotation and storage of goods to prevent contamination and help ensure that food quality and wholesomeness are maintained
- Previous experience in a high-volume full-service kitchen is required
- Food Handlers certification is required
- Ability to stand for 8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
