Position: Home Visiting Specialist
Overview: With supervision, coordinate and provide Home Visiting services to families under the Family Services Plan (FSP) in accordance with the policies and practices of Tresco, laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and/or actively participate in screenings and assessments with appropriate academic and in-service training in screening tools, curriculum and methodologies.
- Complete Curriculum Training (Parents as Teachers Curriculum)
- Accurately prepare appropriate screening/assessment summaries, reports and recommendations in collaboration with other team members within required timelines.
- Provide direct home visit services to eligible children and their families based on an FSP. Home visitor’s time is spent in direct contact (face-to-face or virtually) with families in their home.
- Maintain a current written Individual Personnel Development Plan (IPDP), which includes the Self-Assessment Tool, as required for re-certification in accordance with policy “Certification and Re-certification Requirements for Developmental Specialists”. All IPDPs must be updated at least annually.

Plan for and implement home visits and other interactions designed to address FSP outcomes for children and families. The following components occur during regularly scheduled home visits:
- Parent engagement
- Support parent-child relationship
- Support and assistance to access health care
- Referral and follow-up to formal and informal community resources
- Screenings for possible risk factors
- Address safety concerns and high-risk scores with families
- Provide developmental guidance
- Promote breast feeding as appropriate
- Ensure well child checks are up to date
- Participate in reflective supervision at least twice a month.
- Ensure maintenance of at least 80% of caseload actively engaged in services at all times. Home Visiting caseload size may vary from 15 – 28 depending on the intensity of need and frequency of visits. Provide appropriate client data to be entered in the data base with in 5 days of service.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED and at least 15 hours in higher education credits. Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Social Work, Early Childhood Development, Marriage and Family Counseling, Infant Family Studies, or in a related field/degree plan preferred.
Experience: In Home Visiting, Early Intervention or employment with an Early Childhood emphasis.
Education/Experience substitution: In accordance with Tresco Policy.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required by the position
- This position requires the employee to interact with colleagues and all stakeholders professionally and in a manner consistent with policy.
- This position requires the employee to operate a computer and required software effectively and efficiently including typing, navigation and interpretation of electronic data.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Communicate in a timely manner using all modes of communication (phone call, texting, video, emailing, and in person)
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance through ECECD/Early Childhood Services as required by regulation and prior to providing direct services.
- This position requires that the employee comprehend the English language (read, write, or speak).
8. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
Rate of Pay: $18.00-$23.00
Pay Range: SP-2
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
