We are currently hiring Armed Security Officers for transitional housing facilities in Aurora, CO. This role requires a high level of professionalism, vigilance, and commitment to maintaining a secure environment for residents and staff.
Position Summary:
As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment, monitoring facilities, and responding effectively to potential security incidents. This position is ideal for an experienced security professional who can work overnight shifts in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and Control Access:
- Verify the identification of individuals entering the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and residents have access to the property.

Conduct Routine Patrols:
- Patrol interior and exterior areas of the property every hour to prevent and detect suspicious activities, ensuring that all common areas, entry points, and high-risk zones are secure.

Incident Response:
- Act as the first responder to any incidents, disturbances, or emergencies on-site. Maintain a calm, assertive presence and contact emergency services when necessary.

Safety Protocol Enforcement:
- Enforce facility rules and protocols to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and staff, handling conflicts with professionalism and respect.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately document all incidents, observations, and daily activities in a clear and detailed manner, providing regular updates to site management.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado armed security license and any additional required credentials
- Prior experience in armed security, preferably in a residential or transitional housing environment
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work Friday and Saturday night shifts (9:00 PM - 5:00 AM)
- Proficient in de-escalation techniques and crisis response
