Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including clinics, home community care, and hospice care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient well-being and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Shifts: 5x8s, Evening and Nights
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and other diagnostic evaluations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff or physicians.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide personal care and support for patients in home care or hospice settings.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various healthcare settings, including pediatrics and Level II Trauma Centers.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and patient assessment skills.
- Experience in clinic settings, home community care, or hospice care is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing compassionate patient care.
- Must have BLS through AHA
