Radiology Technician - Contract-Michigan

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring high-quality images while adhering to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various imaging techniques, including CT scans, mammography, and nuclear medicine.

Shift: 10:30p-7am (may be flexible) Must be available to take call

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, PET scans, and mammography.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and findings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while following established protocols.
• Assist in the training of new staff or students in radiologic techniques and safety practices.
• Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and best practices.

Experience

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program is required.
• Experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred; familiarity with CT, nuclear medicine, and mammography is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations with precision and attention to detail.
