Phone Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in coordinating logistics and ensuring efficient communication between drivers, clients, and the operations team. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency in various technologies to manage fleet operations effectively.

Duties

• Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding shipment status and logistics.
• Utilize phone systems to communicate effectively with drivers and clients.
• Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of dispatch activities.
• Monitor GPS tracking systems to ensure timely deliveries and optimize routes.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving processes, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Oversee logistics operations, including scheduling and routing of vehicles.
• Utilize SyteLine software for managing dispatch schedules and fleet management tasks.
• Implement GIS tools for effective route planning and geographical analysis.
• Maintain a clear line of communication with all stakeholders involved in the delivery process.

Experience

• Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with phone systems, GPS technology, and data entry processes is essential.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols will be considered an asset.
• Experience using SyteLine or similar dispatching software is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
