The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and clearly document requirements and specifications to address business needs that will improve operations and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.
- Partner with functional product owner(s) to define feature-level backlog and technical requirements, working with technical team(s) to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes within timeline, scope, and budget.
- Produce required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, etc).
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and developers to implement the requirements and provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
- Ensure project management practices are followed and improved as needed.
- Determine internal and external customer needs and desires through market and competitor research and internal collaboration.
- Recommend the nature and scope of present and future technical development by documenting specifications and requirements.
- Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Provide information to management by preparing short-term and long-term technical development forecasts and special reports and analyses.
- Establish, coordinate, and communicate time schedules with product teams and management.
- Collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources.
- Evaluate decisions through the eyes of the customer, build strong internal relationships, and create processes with customer viewpoint.
- Actively generate process improvements, champion and drive change initiatives, confront difficult circumstances in creative ways, balance multiple and competing priorities and execute accordingly.
- Support Engineering and Product teams by resolving roadblocks and interdependencies.
- Assist in ad hoc projects as needed.
