The Finance Legal Intern will support the legal and finance teams by conducting research, drafting documents, and assisting with compliance matters. This role is ideal for law students or recent graduates interested in financial regulations, corporate law, and business transactions.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, and revising financial agreements, contracts, and legal documents.
- Conduct legal research on financial regulations, corporate governance, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with regulatory compliance by monitoring changes in financial laws and regulations.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure legal compliance in financial reporting and transactions.
- Help prepare legal memorandums, reports, and presentations for senior management.
- Assist in risk assessment related to financial and investment activities.
- Maintain and organize legal documents, contracts, and compliance records.
- Support internal audits and investigations as needed.
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) is a plus.
- Currently pursuing a degree in finance, corporate law, or business law preferred.
