What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Assistant position at Tri-Area Community Health?
Tri-Area Community Health (https://triareahealth.org/) is a Federally Qualified Health Center with locations in Ferrum, Floyd, Laurel Fork, Troutdale, Fries, Galax Schools and a new location to open in Carroll County Schools, VA and Cana, VA. We are currently seeking a part-time front office assistant to work primarily in our Laurel Fork clinic 3 to 5 days a week (Monday through Friday), schedule may vary from month to month. This position requires a high school diploma and one year of medical receptionist experience is preferred. The applicant should possess basic knowledge of medical terminology, proficient typing skills, and basic computer literacy, interpersonal and communication skills. Some lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping will be involved. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision, and have excellent customer service skills.
Pay is based on education and experience.
