Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Floyd, VA
Tri-Area Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center with locations in Carroll, Floyd, Franklin, Grayson, and Patrick Counties and Galax City. We are currently seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with CAQ-Psychiatry credentials for our Floyd Clinic. This person will be the organization’s primary medical provider in our growing substance use disorder treatment program, including an expectation to be the prescriber for patients participating in Medication-Assisted Treatment. This person also will assist in leading organizational advocacy efforts for patients seeking supportive substance use treatment. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively with medical and behavioral health providers and other healthcare professionals within an integrated primary care setting. In addition to spending most of the time seeing patients in person in Floyd, the position will include providing tele-psychiatry services to patients at other Tri-Area locations.
