What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roll Form Operator position at TRI-BORO RACK & STORAGE PRODUCTS?
Summary: This set – up/operator position is responsible for the set-up, maintenance, production requirements and quality of production for all roll forming lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
1) Maintain set-up charts for all sets of roll form tooling
2) Performs tooling set – up and line changeover on all roll form machines to produce roll form parts to print specifications or meet desired weld fixturing specifications as required. Must approve first piece quality check after set – up and before production is initiated. Run production to order requirements.
3) Performs set – up/equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain dimensional part specifications of product being produced. Performs quality audits on production parts being produced during the day on all roll form lines.
4) Performs routine/scheduled maintenance on all roll form line equipment and maintains a log of all maintenance performed. Troubleshoot and repair roll form equipment as required.
5) Review Work orders for order requirements and quantities. Prioritize scheduling of roll form machines with Plant Manager to ensure quality product is produced to meet customer requested ship dates or Tri – Boro lead times.
6) Knowledge of all hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, feeler gages, and tape measure.
7) Uses a variety of equipment and machine tools. Coil end joiner, material handling equipment, metal cutting saws, wrenches, drills, grinders, and gauges.
8) Must assure quality and quantity of orders are correct
9) Reads basic blueprints, sketches to fabricate metal components.
10) Operates equipment under strict safety requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
