Overview/Description:
Full-Time, 40-hours per week, M-F, reports directly to ownership and the General Manager. Some weekend and evening work may be required as needed; limited travel expected. Candidates must be local or interested in relocating.
A high-energy inside sales position selling our freight services to shippers national-wide. You will build a rich pipeline of potential shippers, develop those relationships, bring them on-board, hand-hold the process through the first 1 or 2 loads, and then transition the day-to-day management to our operations floor. This is largely a new business development position, but you will also be responsible for periodic check-ins with your customers to report on performance and inquire about new opportunities or partnership development; consistent and predictable freight is the goal and dedicated 3PL arrangements the ultimate prize.
The position may also include some responsibility for training new Logistics Agents; negotiable.
Responsibilities:
- Build a pipeline of potential customers;
- Research Potential needs and build strong relationships, and be prepared to take advantage of opportunities when they arise;
- Hand-hold the shipping process through the first few loads;
- Complete monthly follow-up to review performance and build new opportunities and strengthen partnerships;
- Assist with claims and other complications as they arise;
- Potentially assist with training new Logistics Agents

- Basic computer skills including: word processing, spreadsheets, Internet browsing, email, and understanding file locations
- MS Office or Google Apps experience required
- Daily Tasks Cold Calls Sales Outreach
Experience/Education:
- 2 yrs in a sales position with responsibility for meeting quotas and/or achievement-dependent compensation
- Experience including responsibility for most or all of the sales cycle
- Proven success generating new business for a Motor Carrier or transportation intermediary
- 1 year in an operations role at a transportation intermediary preferred
- Transportation or Shipping industry experience required

Base Pay plus Uncapped Commissions on both New Business and account Residual.
We are looking for a professional salesperson with experience in the Transportation & Logistics industry, preferably with third-party logistics entities, who will help us expand our customer base.
Tri-Bros Transportation is located in the heart of downtown Johnson City, and we are expanding quickly! This is going to be the largest hiring year to-date and we need an excellent producer to keep our momentum going.
