Position: Hospice Social Worker, Part Time
Location: Benton and Franklin County, Washington State
Type: Non-Exempt
Anticipated Schedule: 24 hours/week Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday 6 hour shifts with ability to pick up additional shifts to meet agency need.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Social Work Supervisor and the Director of Community Care, the Part-Time Hospice Social Worker (MSW) is responsible for the delivery of varied social work services to Hospice patients and their families in homes, facilities, and at the Hospice House. This position provides initial biopsychosocial evaluations, ongoing psychosocial support, resource brokering, direct case management services, bereavement services, and community education, outreach, and referral. The Part-Time Hospice Social Worker (MSW) is an integral part of the Hospice interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- One (1) year of post-education social work experience in a health care or hospice setting or hospice or healthcare practicum placement. Ref: CFR 418.114 and RCW 18.320.010
- Demonstrated ability in case management, counseling, and group work.
- Ability to work flexible hours, such as occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed for patient care and operational needs.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require pre-employment drug testing, which includes cannabis testing in WA State.
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Experience in a hospice or healthcare setting.
- Experience in assisting clients and patients navigate benefits systems such as Department of Veterans Affairs, Medicaid, COPES, and others.
Compensation
Hiring Range: $33.21/hour – $38.91/hour
Position Pay Range: $26.63/hour - $41.28/hour
Premiums:
- $2.50/hour Weeknight
- $2.25/hour Weekend Day
- $4.75/hour Weekend Night
- $4.00/hour On-Call Standby

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications.
