We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Director to lead our team in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration and experience working with students, particularly in early childhood settings. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the child care center, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children.
- Develop and implement educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, providing ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Establish effective communication with parents, staff, and the community to promote the center's mission.
- Monitor children's progress and implement strategies to support their growth and development.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the sustainability of the center.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in early childhood education.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with parents, staff, and community members.
- Knowledge of current trends in early childhood education and best practices.
- Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
- Previous experience in higher education teaching or administration is a plus.
- 18 months in one of these roles: assistant director, teacher, family childcare primary caregiver in a licensed childcare environment
