Position Summary :
The Estimator Level III is responsible for complete estimating take-offs of various electrical installations for our commercial projects. This position will ensure that all estimates are completed in accordance with local, state, national code and compliance with contract documents of new and / or existing projects.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
Perform and or supervise the complete electrical take-off of large to complex projects.Perform calculations and electrical design for design-build projects.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.Reads and interprets contract documents.Set up breakdown charts, fixture schedules, and switchgear schedules for new Projects.Assist Senior Estimator in preparation of the Scope of Work.Receive and evaluate material quotations from suppliers and or vendors.Request and receive quotations from subcontractors.Participate in final negotiations to secure contract and or commitment from the client.Participate in the Business Development of new clients.Supervise the work of Estimators - Level I and II.Attending job turnover meetings.Perform value engineering as requested by Senior Estimator.Develop sub-job breakdown and perform construction estimates.Perform change orders as needed.Prepare and submit a request for clarifications.Perform pre-bid reviews in the absence of Senior Estimator or as directed.Other Duties as Assigned :

Experience and Education :
Required :
Three plus (3 ) years' experience in Electrical Estimating, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceHas the ability to perform complete electrical take-offs for all types of projects and electrical calculation for design-build projects.Able to apply the National Electrical Code in design-build calculations.Ability to read and interpret contract documents and specifications.Basic advanced skills with Accubid, various Estimating software, and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, order of operations) to calculate labor, materials, and / or cost estimates for projects and work orders, etc.Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in the English language at a 12th-grade level.Must possess a valid Florida Driver's license in good standing to meet the company's driving requirements.High School Diploma or GED.Preferred :
Degree / Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related fieldBilingualJourneyman or Master Electrician LicenseSupervisory Responsibilities :

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary but equate to 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
