Position Summary:

 

This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination of patient care.  

 

Major Position Responsibilities:

The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner.   • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Responsible for assisting with the coordination of patient care.
  • Assists in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical services. May take vitals, draw blood or administer shots.
  • Assists and supports the physician with treatments as indicated.
  • Schedules appointments and follow up visits.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of patient’s medical record.
  • Facilitates correspondence between TCMC physicians and various internal and external contacts.
  • Maintains patient throughput in the clinic setting.
  • Cultivates a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and external customers.
  • Ensures safety protocols are supported at all times.
  • Assists in continuous performance improvement activities for their assigned department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a medical clinic or hospital based program, required.
  • Experience scheduling appointments in a medical clinic or hospital, required.
  • Experience with computer systems, required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Graduate of accredited school for licensed vocational nurse, required. 

Licenses:

  • Current California LVN license, required. 

Certifications:

  • Current BLS; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, required. 

 

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.

 

*Salary/Hourly Wage range based on experience.
