What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd shift Heat Treat Furnace Operator position at Tri-City Heat Treat Company?
Job Summary
Perform all duties required in the department. These may include operating draw equipment, support testing equipment, helping in other departments, or with various machines.
Job Responsibilities
· The ability to follow instructions and specifications concerning the machines operation in order to product quality product.
· Following and help establish written procedures for the operation of all equipment, emergency procedures, quality procedures, ensuring the proper loading of jobs, and following safety regulations.
· A high level of production must be maintained
· Use of Grinders, Cut-off Saws, Sanders, Rockwell and Brinell testers, or any other testing equipment necessary.
· Assure that accurate records of production and downtime logs are recorded and maintained.
· Safe use of a fork lift to load and transfer parts
· Follow all Quality Assurance procedures as required, and monitor the process by periodically observing the machines
· Keep work area safe, clean, and orderly at all times
· Perform all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management as required
Job Requirements
· History of good attendance and work record
· Must be able to lift 75lbs.
· Must have the ability to work without supervision and follow written procedures
· Must be motivated and self-driving
· Must be organized and have the ability to multi-task
