We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage daily financial operations.

Compensation: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience. 

Responsibilities

• Review, manage, and process various bookkeeping needs of the bank.
• Process and balance NSF items and fees for overdrafts and insufficient funds.  
• Prepare and issue overdraft and NSF notices.  
• Handle non-posted deposit account items, including research and accurate posting.  
• Maintain and review stop payment files and reports.  
• Monitor special instructions on deposit accounts for proper item posting.  
• Process returns and collection items for payment.  
• Communicate with Bank personnel to address concerns.  
• Perform additional duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education or job experience preferred.  
• Minimum of one year of bookkeeping experience.  
• Strong attention to detail with minimal errors.  
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.  
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.  
• Basic analytical ability for balancing and troubleshooting issues.  
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
