As a Document Reviewer, you'll play a critical role in reviewing consumer and commercial loan documents, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You'll collaborate with loan officers, third parties, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, track missing information, and maintain compliance.
Compensation: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience.
This position is in office at our Operations Center - located in West Allis, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all loan documents are signed, accurate, and complete in accordance with regulatory and bank standards.
- Review final title policies, resolve issues like open mortgages, liens, and judgments, and ensure proper documentation. Coordinate with third parties for releases or endorsements as needed.
- Partner with loan officers, third parties, and internal teams to track, amend, and obtain missing or incomplete documentation.
- Enter exceptions into the tracking system, monitor exception reports, and follow up on outstanding loan documents.
- Conduct pre-closing quality checks to ensure documents meet all requirements before loan disbursement.
- Assist in providing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Manage the department inbox and ensure timely responses to requests and follow-ups on service-released loans.
- Contribute to writing and updating procedures and assist in annual reviews.
Qualifications
- Experience in loan documentation review, banking, or legal document processing.
- Familiarity with MortgageBot, MeridianLink, LaserPro, FIS Insight, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Experience in mortgage or commercial lending is a plus.
