Summary:
Tri-City Orthopaedic Clinic is looking for an educated and licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist who has experience in hand therapy and custom splinting (Certified Hand Therapist preferred but not required). TCO is a productive outpatient orthopedic clinic located in Kennewick, Washington. You will work closely with a team of motivated Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Athletic Trainers treating patients with post-operative and non-operative conditions. This is a Full-Time position, with full benefits offered.
Position Duties:
- Provide quality post-operative and conservative finger, hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow therapy services, with opportunity for shoulder, spine and more (per therapist preference) in a 1 on 1 outpatient setting to patients using clinical reasoning and evidence-based practices.
- Fabricate and modify custom splints, select and apply commercial splints appropriate for the diagnosis, working with a board certified, fellowship trained surgeon with a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand.
- Perform comprehensive, caring evaluations of patients, obtaining medical data necessary for treatment planning, establishing achievable goals and developing actionable treatment plans.
- Thoughtfully create discharge plans, ensuring patient satisfaction and long-term success.
- Ensure a safe environment and utilize tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
- Adapt to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, be receptive to new ways of completing tasks and be flexible in carrying out assignments as a team-player, contributing to a positive and fun work environment.
- Attend, participate, and utilize scheduled training, educational courses, meetings, team-building, and mentorship opportunities offered to build and improve as a skilled clinician.
