What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Director position at Tri City Orthopaedic Clinic?
Serves as a leader in supervising and directing the clinical operations of the surgery center. Responsible for oversight of patient care in all clinical areas of the surgery center according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives assuring a safe environment for both patients and employees. Coordinates and directs patient care and related activities of the facility according to accepted standards set forth by AAAHC accreditation and to improve quality of care. Shares responsibility for the financial activities of the facility with the CEO. Oversees patient scheduling and other administrative roles. Analyzes and evaluates efficiencies and cost effectiveness such as OR utilization and case costing. Works closely with medical staff in coordinating patient-care services. Maintains employee education records, electronic surgical records, and quality measures.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing, RN with active WA State license and BLS / ACLS / PALS Certification, demonstrated proficiency as circulating RN and PACU or ICU experience - minimum 2 years supervisory experience required, evidence of leadership qualities, strong ethical and moral character, language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication, ASC experience - 3-5 years minimum of experience in an ASC setting in a leadership role, MS Word and MS Excel proficiency, electronic health records, MBA a plus.
